1. Calculations stay in your browser

Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your web browser, using code that your device downloads with the page. The figures you type in — a salary, a rent amount, a number of tokens — are processed on your own device. They are never sent to our servers, never stored by us, and never seen by us. When you close or leave the page, the figures are gone. There is no calculation history to delete afterwards, because none was ever kept.

2. No accounts, no sign-up

ToolNestCalc has no user accounts. There is no sign-up, no login and no password, and we never ask for your name or payment details to use a calculator. The only personal information we ever receive is what you choose to send us yourself — for example, if you email us, we see your email address and the contents of your message. We use that only to read and reply to your message.

3. Server log files

Like almost every website, our hosting servers automatically keep standard log files when your browser requests a page. These logs record technical details such as your IP address, your browser type and version, the pages you requested, the page you arrived from (the referring page), and the date and time of each request. We use log files to keep the site secure, to find and fix errors, and to understand in aggregate which calculators are popular. Log files are not combined with anything that identifies you personally, and we do not use them to build profiles of individual visitors.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store on your device. This site and the third parties who provide services to it — in particular our advertising and analytics providers — may use cookies. Cookies on a site like ours fall into three groups: cookies needed for the site to work and stay secure; cookies that measure usage so we can improve the pages; and advertising cookies, which are described in the next section.

You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. The calculators do not depend on cookies and will keep working if you block them.

5. Advertising and Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertising on this site, and the ads help keep the calculators free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website and to other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and to other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You may also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. Opting out does not stop ads appearing; it stops those ads from being personalised using advertising cookies.

6. Google Analytics

We may use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate: which calculators are visited most, roughly where visitors are located, which devices and browsers are common, and how pages perform. These reports are statistical. We do not use analytics to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine analytics data with information that names you. Google Analytics sets its own cookies; you can prevent it from collecting data by blocking cookies or by installing the opt-out browser add-on that Google provides.

7. Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, data protection law (including the GDPR) gives you rights over your personal information: the right to access it, the right to have it corrected (rectification), the right to have it erased, the right to restrict or object to its processing, and the right to complain to your data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below. In practice we hold almost no personal information — only messages you have sent us and the standard server logs — so most requests are straightforward. If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you related rights; for clarity, we do not sell personal information.

8. Children

ToolNestCalc is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site grows or as the law changes. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and any significant change will be flagged at the top of the page. The version on this page is always the current one.
